Installation instructions for Hitachi Excavator
1. Remove AC filter outer door
2. Remove 6 bolts from inner cover & remove cover
3. Cut outer lip of the inner cover
4. While the cover has been removed disable recirculation flap by either removing lever, remove the flap or put a hole in it.
5. Refit inner cover & adapter using original bolts making sure to seal the adapter to the inner cover.
6. Refit the outer door & mark out cover where the adapter touched the door to allow the cover to pass through the door when closed. Hint put grease on the adapter to help locate the cut out position. Note make the hole larger than the adapters section. Use pinch mould or silicon to seal around where the adapter is positioned in the outer door

8. Fit the snorkel to the adapter with the seal & 4 bolts supplied leave the 4 bolts loose & square up the snorkel & adjust the magnets mount heigh at the top of the snorkel to keep the snorkel square to the cabin. Then tighten the 4 bolts.

10. Locate a position on the top of the deck to fit the pressuriser

12. Connect the hose from the pressuriser to the snorkel.
13. Follow standard instructions to fit the sensor box & monitor screen. Note the monitor
can be fitted to the rail along side of the rh window using the stauff clamp provided. You
will need to drill & tap the base plate of the stauff clamp to fit the ram mount to it.
14. Note. Ther is a white 6 or 8 pin plugs under the plastics behind the seat that has a
switched power wire that can be used to power the sensor box. Also put the sensor box
towards the middle of the machine beside the recirculation filter.
15. Sealing
• Holes under the floor mat
• There is possible a hole around where the factory loom exits the cabin behind
the seat that may require sealing
• Use expander foam to seal the tube around the pilot hoses on both sides of the
seat.
• Front window sealing can be an issue
• The sky light on top of the cabin generally has poor sealing.
• Smoke bomb the machine to find any other leaks.
