About CleanCab
How CleanCab Works
Cabin monitoring
Cleancab’s standard unit draws air in through the high-quality Donaldson Powercore filter using a brushless centrifugal blower motor. This filtered air is then carefully distributed through the base of the unit into the cabin via a 3” adapter, ensuring consistent airflow.
When a HEPA or CARBON filter is incorporated, the filter insert is securely fitted into the base of the unit. In this configuration, air is first drawn through the Donaldson Powercore filter and then forced through the HEPA or Carbon filter before reaching the HVAC system. This dual filtration process not only extends the life of the HEPA filters but also significantly enhances the overall safety factor. HEPA filters, while highly efficient, were never intended to serve as the primary air filter because they can be easily damaged by larger particulates and tend to clog quickly, leading to system restrictions under both light and heavy dust conditions. Additionally, many systems require the filter housing to be vacuumed out with a specialized HEPA vacuum cleaner during maintenance, which introduces an extra safety concern.
Powercore filters effectively contain all dust within their filter element, preventing contamination and simplifying maintenance. If the high-efficacy pre-cleaner needs cleaning, it easily separates into two pieces and can be thoroughly washed out for reuse. Every Cleancab HEPA filter comes with an individual test certificate and is rated to stringent H14 standards, ensuring reliable performance. Our units can be fitted to all varieties of mobile and fixed machinery to prevent dust ingress into critical equipment, effectively protecting operator health and prolonging machinery life.
With over 20 years of hands-on experience working with HVAC systems in earthmoving and mobile plant equipment and fitting custom HVAC and cabin pressurizer systems across Queensland, Cleancab brings invaluable practical knowledge to every project. This experience enables us to fully understand the challenges involved in maintaining your equipment and helps us deliver the best possible setup from the very first installation. Because we live and work in the same environments as our customers, we have a deep, practical insight that allows us to provide service and solutions tailored to your exact needs.
Industry recommendation is to fit a cabin pressure monitor that warns the operator when the cabin pressure falls below 20PA or rises above 200PA, ensuring a safe and comfortable working environment. Our unit comes equipped with both audible and visual warnings to effectively alert the operator in real-time. Designed for ease of installation, the unit can be fitted in any location within the cabin using a simple 2-wire and 3-wire connection, along with one sensor tube to accurately monitor the air pressure. App Update October 2025
CleanCab has integrated a system report feature, which allows for export in PDF format.
The report encompasses commissioning details, alarm levels, and system settings.
Customer information and supplementary notes can be added during report creation via the CleanCab Tech application.
This report as well as the filter certificate supplied helps to keep your records up to date.
Cleancab CO₂ Gain Report Integration
Cleancab has introduced a CO₂ gain reporting feature that is fully compliant with Section 5.1.3.4 of the ISO 23875:2023 standard for mobile plant equipment.
The CO₂ gain report is generated using the Cleancab Tech app.
Key parameters included in the report:
Cabin CO₂ concentration levels
Fan speed settings
Cabin pressure measurements
This integration ensures accurate monitoring and supports regulatory compliance for mobile plant operations.
Built for Business
CleanCab has been designed to fit all styles of air conditioning systems & machines. The unit is available in a vertical or horizontal style.
It is suitable for all OEM & aftermarket systems.
CleanCab uses a 3” flex pipe to duct to the evaporator inlet. Alternatively or it can be ducted directly through the bottom of the unit to the a/c evaporator air inlet.
The unit's air outlet can be rotated 360 degrees to suit most applications. It’s supplied with two blanking plates and a 3” inch ducting plate.
Optional weather protector available. Protects unit from physical damage.

Choice of Filters
Cleancab uses a Donaldson filter as the main pre filter part number P958647 standard filter or the DBA9587 higher capacity Ultra-Web filter.
HEPA or CARBON filter inserts.
The HEPA filter is rated to H14 (99.992%), which is above the industry standard of H13. The advantage of using this as a final filter is that the main Power Core filter removes 99.97% of the dust particles leaving the HEPA filter to clean the last % of the dust particulates. This system has a 3-way cleaning system using the high efficiency pre-cleaning venturi tubes as the first cleaning process, removing the heavier dust material, then the high efficiency Power core filter & the HEPA as the final filtration.
This has long term cost benefits as the HEPA filter is not used as the main filter, as it is in most other systems. This also has an additional safety margin because there is less chance of incorrect fitting of the HEPA filter.
Pressuriser Units
As well as our own CleanCab filter system, we offer 2 styles of the CabAire series of pressuriser units, utilising either the Cabaire S Series, or the Cabaire M Series. Both are suitable for fitting to trucks and a wide range of other equipment.
The S SERIES unit is available with a Standard/HEPA or CARBON filter elements, and runs on 12V or 24V.
Dimensions are 470mm x D 210mm.
The M SERIES is a compact unit suitable for smaller enclosures where size limits any other unit. The units are available with a standard NANO fiber element only, and run brushless 12V or 24V.
Dimensions are L 482mm x D 158mm
How Cabin Pressurisation works.
Multi stage filtration is designed to keep cabins clean and operators safe. Cabin pressure of a minimum of 20pa is required to keep the cabin clean.
Most standard OEM systems cannot achieve this. The best practice is to fit an external filter with its own blower motor to push air into the cabin.
Projected CleanCab Cost Savings
The average cost of the HEPA filter is $400.
Most other units use the HEPA as the main filter element.
Filter replacement is required every 2 months or 500 hrs depending on dust conditions.
HEPA COST 6 x $400 = $2400 / year.
CleanCab unit uses primary & secondary filters.
Pre filter costs $100.00 replaced every 2 months or 500hrs depending on dust conditions.
Secondary HEPA filter costs $400.00 and only needs replacement annually.
CLEANCAB COST 6 x $100 + $400.00 = $1000.00.
Projected savings first year = $1400.00*
Safety factor Is also increased by using 2 filters, and reducing the occurrence of incorrect fitment of HEPA filter, with CleanCab hepa filter recommended replacement of once a year.
*Savings may vary depending on dust conditions. Filter prices are an average & may vary.
